Unboxing

Now let's talk about the unboxing experience: The packaging cuality and the content

Packaging:

The pacaking, as everything from Ugreen (so far), is nice and feels good. The device is protected and well packaged. It came inside a cardboard box, and inside the product box there was also more cardboard protections.

Content

It includes a USB cable with PD (Power Delivery) to conect the dock to the source (usually a laptop), and obviously the dock itself. It also comes with fisical instructions in several languages (which helped me a lot).

Usecase

To test this device (and for final purposes) I've used the following. Some of the prices below, like the screens, is aproximated for todays, because I've already own some of the products, so I've decided to show the prices if you want to make a similar setup:

Product Amount Price (each) Price (total)
1440p screen 2 150€ 300€
Vesa Wallmount 2 15€ 30€
Revodock Pro 1 80€ 80€
Nexode Pro 100W 1 70€ 70€
Laptop stand 1 40€ 40€

That makes a total of ~520€ for the setup (not including desk, laptop, or chair).

Experience

At first I thought something was wrong, I wasn't getting a signal from the second HDMI port. But then I thought: "Why not checking the instructions?". Well... There was my aswer, Ugreen warns that if you have any kind of trouble with the video signal, it may be related to missing drivers, specifically Silicon Motion drivers. They provide two download options, one from the drivers of their web, introducing the product number (15963 for the Revodok Pro); and other, going directly to Silicon Motion official website.

In conclusion: Check for Silicon Motion drivers!

For the rest, the experience was smooth. Just one cable to my latop let me charge it, use two screens and connect multiple USB devices, even a fast external NVMe drive.

Opinion

The device for its price is more than enough, it complays with everything is mentioned: Dual screen, charging with 85w, fast USB and an ethernet port.

The built cuality is fine, is plastic but not a cheap one and feels strong. The button is a good adition, so you can shut down the device so the periferals stops and the laptop still charges even with the dock shutted down, here I've prefered to also stop the charging, so the battery lives more if I left my laptop pluged in but shutted down.

I found the SD card reader pretty useful, since I'm an amateur photographer, being able to load the photos to my laptop to view an edit them without the need of another dongle is perfect.

Hope you found this useful!
